I’m connecting different social media accounts, so I want to see if they are working and make sure everything is okay. I need a post to do that, so this is.
I eat eggs for breakfast a lot, I’m looking $13 a dozen, so I’m thinking pancakes. Things we have to do now. I thought the price of eggs was going to go down. What happened to that?
I just went ultra generic. I decided on black on white, I could have flipped it, but I want it to be basic. I did add some AI generated pics. It came out the way I liked it, I modded it a bit, but it’s basically the same as it kicked it out. I know, A.I. images. I’m just me, it does work I wouldn’t otherwise do. I need to write, so it won’t really do that, and if I do have A.I. help, I’ll let you know. It can do nice work, it can’t really do my work, because it can think the way I do and it can’t use expletives. 🤬🤬🤬🤬! So if it’s my work, it has to be me.
Besides, I ramble and run off on tangents all the time. A.I. can’t do that. If it’s going to be one of my post, it has to be one of my post, and it won’t have a train of thought that a machine can follow. I can pretend, but it won’t exactly get there. Also, it has no means of understanding sarcasm. It tries, but it always gets it off and then it has all the structure of a LLM.
So I did change the theme. I didn’t mind the DOS looking thing, but it isn’t really nice to look at when you read, this is far nicer and far simpler. Simplicity is the way things should be.
Also, I’ve left an Easter egg somewhere. Unlikely anyone will see it. But I put one in there because I didn’t like the stock image that it uses, so I made it something else. Anyway, a new look. It’s good on the phone and basic.
I’m probably am going to change the theme soon. It’s nice, it’s clean, I like orange on dark, because it works better, but it’s not much of a thing. I almost want to go to a simple black on white theme. This tends to wash out all the indicators that would help with content blocks. Anyway, that’s just something that occurred to me today.
Weird, some how this comes outs a different color. But if and when I change the theme, I want there to be a reference to what it looked like. So this is what it use to look like.
It’s okay if you want to debate it with me, but it’s not really a post. I learned a few things yesterday when I decided to reactivate my blog. I was debating letting it fall into limbo and forget it existed anyway, but I reactivated it for reasons. The cost of running a blog is a bit much, but not really. It’s a bit over $100 a year, so like 3 lunches and 4 days of snacks or a half tank of gas. It’s not much, but it feels unessential. If I used it differently, like a business thing, then okay, but I use it as thought dumping ground.
I killed all my Meta accounts. I just don’t get anything from it anymore. There is nothing there but hate and AI generated content. I can find better things on YouTube and let us not forget the tagline, “A Place for Friends”. Well it’s anything but. Twitter / X is a joke. I don’t understand the idea behind it, but I don’t use it not for ideological reasons but financial ones. If you want to be heard, you have to pay for the luxury. That’s not bad in itself, but then you through in the Ideological stuff and there you have it. Unusable. Blue Sky is an interesting Idea, and I use it, but it’s sort of just a replacement for Twitter. It’s very liberally oriented, but it will eventually become a for profit social network. Easy to use, but not the same as an ActivityPub based site like Mastodon or PixelFed, or even this blog. This blog is Federated, meaning it is searchable on any Activity Pub network and you can follow it it. It’s complicated as hell for a handle, “@sigma-punk.com”. I don’t know. It’s a weird change happening in social media. I federated this site because I could, I share post on Mastodon and Blue Sky, because that’s something I can do, but it’s all just words anyway. I might as well. And this post if you don’t realize it or not is actually just a test to see if what is supposed to go where, goes where.

I reset Sigma-Punk today. It’s just a blog, so whatever. I found a theme I like a lot better. So I reset that too. I found out that it’s a simple matter to make this blog Federated, so I set that up. If you would like to follow on Mastodon or other ActivityPub sites, it’s as easy as searching on this link and then following:

This entry was just a test to see how it looks on the new theme and to cover the basics. I added a weird AI generated image from the library on this blog. It probably was prompted with something to do with AI and Users themselves. I don’t remember and I deleted the post, I do have an archive of it, but i’m okay guessing.
